British jazz band, Vels Trio are about to release their debut EP. ‘Yellow Ochre EP’ demonstrates the virtuoso jazz talents of the band while maintaining the hip-hop inspired funk that has come to define their sound. “The slender keys of Jack Stephen Oliver glide over Dougal Taylor’s breakbeat fire landing with Cameron Dawson’s funky wah bass lines all culminating in an explosion of synths and tasty licks.”
