Derya Yildirim | Yarın Yoksa Instrumentals

Big Crown Records presents the instrumental version of Yarın Yoksa by Derya Yıldırım & Grup Şimşek—a powerful fusion of psychedelic soul and Anatolian roots, produced by Leon Michels. With Derya’s expressive bağlama playing at its core, the group brings a fresh, genre-defying sound that feels both deeply rooted and boldly modern.

Calling themselves “outernational” rather than international, the band reflects a truly borderless spirit: Derya is German-Turkish, drummer Helen Wells hails from South Africa, and keyboardist Graham Mushnik is French. Together, they offer a unique reinterpretation of Anatolian music that honors tradition while moving it forward.

Yarın Yoksa (“If There Is No Tomorrow”) explores themes of loss, resistance, and hope. Highlights include the groove-heavy “Cool Hand”, the protest-driven “Direne Direne”, and “Yakamoz”, a haunting track that captures the ache of displacement. Alongside nine originals, the album reimagines three Turkish folk songs—most notably “Misket” and “Hop Bico”—with a signature blend of depth and vibrant energy.
