Sudan Archives | THE BPM

Sudan Archives returns with her boldest, most electrifying project yet: The BPM, scheduled for release on October 17, 2025 via Stones Throw Records.

Crafted across the musical hubs of Detroit, Chicago, and Los Angeles, this album is a pulsating homage to the club traditions of these cities blended with experimental rhythms—fusing Jersey club, global dance styles, and her signature violin-infused production.

On The BPM, artist Brittney Parks introduces her new alter‑ego, “Gadget Girl”—a persona embodying technological autonomy and self-made creativity. As she puts it, “I’m all gadget‑girled out now, but I’ve never felt so free as a human”.

The album opens with the vivid single “Dead”, blending orchestral flair with relentless, thumping beats—a perfect entry into its fearless, avant‑dance world. Subsequent singles like the flirty, rap‑leaning “My Type” and the playful “Yea Yea Yea” showcase her poetic versatility and club‑centric energy.

With The BPM, Sudan Archives cements her evolution from genre-breaking violinist to visionary architect of sound—melding soul, R&B, electronica, and dance into a fearless future statement of rhythm, identity, and liberation.
