I Guess I’ll Never Learn” is S. Fidelity’s third solo album on Jakarta Records, after “A Safe Place to Be Naked” (2017) and “Fidelity Radio Club” (2021). It’s by far the most complex project of the Swiss-born and Berlin-based artist and producer. On 13 songs, together with seven guest vocalists, he explores the circular nature of romantic relationships, structured into three acts. While S. Fidelity sings in his signature mantra-esque style over two songs, the album also features an exceptionally diverse cast of vocalists. Among them, Collard, a close collaborator of UK pop experimentalists Bakar and Kojey Radical, and Dawn Richard, a multidisciplinary, boundary defying artist from New Orleans who first rose to fame in the mid 2000s as part of the R&B group Danity Kane, only to reinvent herself in recent years as an independent artist, animator and creator, collaborating with Kaytranada, Flying Lotus and Adult Swim. Other guest singers include Jerome Thomas, Raelle and Wandl.
