Grammy-nominated harpist Brandee Younger returns with Gadabout Season, her most introspective album yet. Set for release on June 13, 2025, via Impulse! Records, the album showcases Younger’s original compositions that blend spiritual jazz, R&B, and hip-hop influences. Described by Younger as “an open-ended narrative of life’s highs and lows,” the album reflects her journey through complex emotions and experiences. Tracks like “Unswept Corners” and the title piece “Gadabout Season” highlight her innovative approach to the harp, offering a fresh perspective on contemporary jazz.
Following her acclaimed albums Somewhere Different and Brand New Life, which earned her a Grammy nomination and an NAACP Image Award respectively, Gadabout Season solidifies Younger’s position as a leading voice in modern jazz.
