Reginald Omas Mamode IV is a British musician with Mauritian roots. His sound blends influences from Hip-Hop, Jazz, Soul, Afro, Funk, and traditional island music like Sega and Maloya. Coming from a deeply musical family, he has played a key role in shaping the UK’s beat and jazz scene. Together with his brothers and artists like Al Dobson Jr, he co-founded the 22a collective.
His upcoming album “Rivière Noire” (out July 18, 2025) marks a creative shift: moving away from sampling, Reginald performs all instruments himself – including live drums, percussion, guitar, Rhodes, and synths. The album reflects his commitment to expressing universal love, compassion, and interconnectedness in response to today’s global and societal challenges.
