With Chapter 1, the enigmatic UK collective SAULT opens a new sonic and thematic cycle. Known for their genre-defying sound and radical independence, this release marks another bold shift. Moving further into orchestral soul, stripped gospel, and meditative minimalism, Chapter 1 feels like both a reset and a continuation — cinematic in scope, yet intimate in delivery.
Wordless vocal layers, swelling strings, and hypnotic grooves create a sense of ritual and reflection, drawing the listener inward. Where past releases leaned into protest and rhythm, this chapter focuses on space, stillness, and spiritual weight. There are no easy answers here, just a deep invitation to listen closely.
Mysterious as ever, SAULT lets the music speak — and Chapter 1 speaks volumes without raising its voice.
