With Edge Conditions, Los Angeles composer and synthesist Jeremiah Chiu continues his exploration of the space between ambient music, electronic composition, improvisation, and sound design. Modular synthesizers and carefully shaped electronic textures form an environment that feels organic despite its largely synthetic origins.

The music develops through gradual shifts rather than conventional structures: tones overlap, patterns slowly mutate, and small melodic gestures emerge from dense layers of sound. There is a strong sense of movement throughout, but also restraint, with Chiu allowing repetition and subtle changes in texture to carry the compositions.
