With Eight Ring Revival, Los Angeles pianist and producer Telemakus turns a period of physical limitation into an expansive exploration of jazz, hip-hop, fusion, and electronic music. Much of the project emerged while he was recovering from complications related to Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, forcing him to rethink his approach to composing and, at times, create music without using his hands.

The album brings together an impressive circle of collaborators including Flying Lotus, Karriem Riggins, Mndsgn, Liv.e, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Swarvy, Chino Corvalán, and Nicole McCabe.   Rhodes, synthesizers, programmed beats, and live instrumentation move between jazz fusion, neo-soul, and beat music, with the influence of Herbie Hancock, J Dilla, and 1970s fusion running through its futuristic production.

Eight Ring Revival feels colorful, restless, and deeply personal—a record built around adaptation, collaboration, and the urge to keep creating.
