Lorenzo Bianchi Hoesch | Notes On The Memory Of Notes

What remains of a musical idea once its original form has disappeared? Notes On The Memory Of Notes brings together electronic composer Lorenzo Bianchi Hoesch, Belgian saxophonist Fabrizio Cassol, and French cellist Adèle Viret for an exploration of sound, memory, and improvisation.

The unusual combination of saxophone, cello, and electronics creates a constantly evolving dialogue between acoustic expression and digital manipulation. Fragmented melodic phrases, resonant textures, and subtle electronic interventions challenge the distinction between composition and spontaneous creation.

Rather than establishing a fixed musical direction, the trio allows sounds to emerge, transform, and dissolve into new configurations. Elements of contemporary classical music, experimental jazz, and electroacoustic composition coexist within an intimate and often unpredictable sonic environment. The result is a thoughtful exploration of musical interaction, where listening becomes as important as playing.
