Damon Albarn (Gorillaz, Blur), Tony Allen and Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers) founded their supergroup “Rocket Juice and the Moon”. During the last year the group recorded a couple of dozen instrumentals, the final 18 tracks on the album features Erykah Badu, M.anifest, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble and the Malian keyboardist Cheick Tidiane Seck. It’s a mix of Afrobeat, Afrofunk and pure Funk. Tony Allen gives that touch of Africa.
