FKJ | Ylang Ylang

Drawing inspiration from “a remote location in the jungle” where Vincent Fenton aka FKJ aka French Kiwi Juice moved to during its creation, this Ylang Ylang EP provides the French artist with a first EP following his debut album on Roche Music in 2017. With a said six months spent in the jungle recording with no electricity other than what came from a generator turned on a night, the record takes in a moody and exotic approach to singer-songwriting, acoustic guitars and touches of contemporary classical soul. Ylang Ylang is the culmination of FKJ’s feelings while creating this EP in the wild, and while shadowy in parts just like a jungle at night, it beams with warmth and finger clicking funk.
