Tartelet kickstarts 2025 with the fourth edition of its Medusozoa compilation, a seasonal trip into ambient and downtempo soundscapes.
With each edition of Tartelet Record’s annual Medusozoa series, the sound gets more intimate and more expansive. For its 2025 compilation, the label chose to combine tracks from the Tartelet archives alongside brand new productions. And for the first time this year, it sent out an open call for contributions, giving the project a global outlook by welcoming sounds from Brazil, Japan, Argentina, Singapore and beyond.
Far from a one-note gathering, the 2025 compilation sees dusty samples and organic instrumentation rub up against sweet synthesised reveries, and delicate grooves against beatless immersion. It’s a feast for the senses and a voyage of discovery, curated with care and consideration. The perfect laid-back vibe when you need to set a mood – but loaded with enough intrigue to satisfy hungry ears and minds.
Medusozoa Vol. IIII points the way into a deep well of dreamy sound — the kind of restorative tonic that will get you through short days and cold nights as well as long, lazy poolside sessions. Wherever you need a spiritual lift, let Medusozoa be your soundtrack.
